"The day I arrived at the refuge, I was handed some basics; shampoo, conditioner, soap. I was grateful, as I’d arrived without my own toiletries. But the thing that touched my heart about it was what they were wrapped in; cellophane, with a pretty purple bow.

This small act of kindness was so pivotal in my healing. I still find it hard to tell this story without becoming emotional, which is why I love Two Good so much. Lisa McAdams is many things; The Courageous Communicator, the founder of Safe Space Workplace, an ambassador of Two Good Co, a survivor of domestic violence, and the inspiration for our care packs. After her letter, we set a new course to inspire moments of love and respect through luxurious toiletries, gifted with care; in essence, a course to recreate Purple Bow Moments across the many refuges and shelters we serve.

Since their inception in 2017, we've created 25,272 Purple Bow Moments through care packs and Good Things donations; from Two Good Throws, to hoodies, to premium toiletries, we've been able to spark a moment of self care and self worth with tens of thousands of women on their healing journey...and now, we can support them in more ways than ever before.

“I went into rehab just after Mother's Day last year; and there was a Two Good care pack, gifted especially for that day. I used it in a bath during my first week, trying to settle in, you know? Life had been so different; so fast paced. I was trying to ground myself, to try out the meditations they teach you in recovery – the care pack definitely went to good use.

I'm learning the importance of self care, self love, self worth. Last night, I decided to head straight home, do a load of washing, have a bath, read my book and get into bed…and not one day in my life has a night ever looked like that for me. But I had a better sleep, and I felt so good this morning. I’m learning that I need that stuff; that it allows me to sit and check in with myself.
