"It was such a significant, nourishing event for both our women and our team — everyone felt so special, connected, and equal around the table. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the entire experience; thank you so much for your generosity, the beautiful gifts of care, and all the hard work that went into putting this together."

LOVE THROUGH LUNCH

A Table Set with Purpose; Winter 2026

As the days got shorter and colder, Two Good Co set a table.

Not just any table - one laid with care. With a warm bowl of soup, fresh bread, good butter, and something beautiful waiting on each chair.

A table that said: you are seen. You belong here. You matter.

This winter, for its third instalment, Two Good brought their Love Through Lunch Winter Feast to women and children in crisis shelters across Sydney, with 120 people sitting down together to something extraordinary.

"The ladies commented that they felt like they were sitting around the family table of a famous chef. I think the feeling of a 'family table' came from the feeling of care and love that was inherent in the decorations, gifts and food itself. Thank you for offering dignity in all you do as an organisation. It gives so much more than food."

— Beecroft House

A FEAST WITH FRIENDS

Love Through Lunch has always been made possible by the generosity of people who believe food is an act of love.

Baker Bleu brought the bread; Pepe Saya supplied the cultured butter; Mr. Olio gifted their Australian extra virgin olive oil; Two Providores, their parmesan. Mutti Australia contributed Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes for the soup, and Sydney Direct Fresh Produce delivered the tomatoes, garlic, and fresh basil that dressed the centre of every table. And Gelato Messina gifted every guest a voucher for a scoop - a little joy, tucked inside a simple white envelope.

Gifted FLATOUTBear baby bears for the Littles - small, soft companions that went home with every child. On each chair: a Marina-Strone Heirloom Throw, and a Limited Edition Marina-Strone Love & Care Pack, from a recent collaboration between Two Good and Alémais, an Australian fashion label known for its commitment to craft and conscious design.

Inspired by the very same Marina-Strone served at lunch, the collaboration brought beauty and warmth to the experience, in the form of thoughtful gifts and tableware - a pairing that felt entirely natural. Two brands built on belief: that what surrounds us matters, that women deserve beautiful things, and that generosity is always in season.

Each table was set with intention. Large plates and soup bowls. Proper cutlery and glassware. The used Mutti tins were re-imagined as vases, overflowing with fresh basil. Garlic heads and tomatoes scattered like a still life down the centre. Parmesan graters and water carafes. Casserole dishes of Marina-Strone, with ladles ready to serve.

This wasn't a charity lunch. It was a family feast.

Read Marina's story about her experience rebuilding her life after homelessness, through Two Good Co.'s Work Work employment pathways program.

THE STORY
BEHIND THE SOUP

At the heart of this year's feast was Marina-Strone - a dish that began as a family recipe shared by Marina, a Two Good Work Work alumni, in memory of her late Italian mother.

What started as a humble minestrone became something much more: a symbol of the love that travels through generations, through kitchens, through loss, and into the hands of people who need it most.

This winter, that same soup was made by the women of Two Good's Work Work program - a social enterprise kitchen that provides meaningful employment and training to women rebuilding their lives.

It was ladled into casserole dishes, loaded into vans, and driven to shelter dining rooms across the city, carrying so much more than vegetables and broth.

WHY IT MATTERS
MORE THAN A MEAL

During the festive season, celebrations of food, family and community are all around - but for women and children living in crisis accommodation, the festive season can amplify uncertainty, stress and isolation.

This is the reality for the 122K people in Australia experiencing homelessness on any given night.

Through initiatives like Love Through Lunch, a shared meal can offer something quietly powerful: a pause. A chance to breathe.

A reminder that they belong; that they are worthy of connection and joy.

As one partner shelter shared, the lunch was “more than just a meal — it created a sense of dignity, comfort, and connection that was deeply felt by all who participated.”

These moments of connection sit at the core of Two Good’s purpose. When people gather around a table as equals, stories are shared, laughter flows, and communities take shape.

"When I dropped the feasts off, they were beyond grateful — such a great experience, full of love and full bellies. The tables looked stunning. A satisfying day indeed."

- Two Good Driver

THREE YEARS.
ONE BELIEF.

Love Through Lunch began with a simple idea: that a shared meal has the power to remind someone they are not alone. Three years on, that idea has fed hundreds of women and children across Sydney, carried countless untold stories, and grown into something we're deeply proud of.

Thank you to everyone who made our Love Through Lunch Winter Feast 2026 possible — our collaborators, our drivers, our kitchen team, our corporate partners, and every shelter that opened their doors and set their tables with care.

We’ll see you next winter.

Much love, The Two Good team.
