Last year during the bustling holiday period, the Two Good team hit the road to serve up a 3-course feast for over 200 women and children living in crisis across 7 community services, complete with high-end tableware, beautiful gifts and limited edition treats.

After a long, hard year, case workers and residents sat together to experience the joy of celebrating and creating a sacred space around a lunch table. More than just food, Love Through Lunch is designed to serve so much more than just a meal - it’s about sharing joint compassion and unity with one another,  sharing laughter and stories that feed the soul. It’s about encouraging celebration, even in times of crisis.

Nourishing 200 Women + Children Living In Crisis.

As a team at Two Good, we gather around the lunch table every day to honour the power of coming together over a shared meal. In our world of crammed schedules, taking the time to sit down and be present with those around you creates memories to last a lifetime.

During the festive season, these celebrations of food, family and community are all around - but not everyone is able to relish in the joy and connection of this season.

This is the reality for the 122K people in Australia experiencing homelessness on any given night.

So, Love Through Lunch was born, gifting a considered, nourishing experience to our community’s most vulnerable. Love Through Lunch had immediate and heartwarming impacts, with crisis accommodation services becoming welcoming spaces and offering sanctuary for communities to gather during a time that can otherwise feel incredibly isolating and overwhelming.

Love Through Lunch is about dignity through details; it's about transforming institutional spaces into a lunch table that holds more than just meals.

The food was arranged onto beautiful family-style serveware, with kitchenettes transformed into beautiful dining spaces, complete with table linens and gifts. Inspired by our Purple Bow Moment, we brought quality and intentionality in everything on the table:

• Serving platters by In the Roundhouse
• Tongs + Servers, Tablecloths
• Gifts of Two Hugs Teddies for the littles, Beyond The Rocky Road Mega Blocks for the older kids + adults, and Two Good Cookbooks and Good Feels Christmas Crackers (with free Messina Scoop vouchers inside) for all.

The ripple effect of intentional gifting continued beyond the lunch, with a single experience creating a lasting impact. The community services were so surprised to learn that we would be keeping all of the tableware, with Vincentian House repackaging the serveware into beautiful home-starter packs for families when they move on from their service.
